$BTC: Will the US Create a National Bitcoin Reserve?
Crypto enthusiasts are buzzing on Twitter (X) about rumors that Donald Trump might announce a campaign pledge to create a national Bitcoin reserve at the upcoming Bitcoin 2024 conference.
The idea is that the reserve could be based on the 213,000 BTC ($14 billion) confiscated by the US government.
Ari Paul, founder of BlockTower Capital, suggests that while the concept is “bullish” for Bitcoin’s price, it’s unlikely to happen in the next four years. However, he doesn’t rule out the possibility of Trump mentioning it at the conference.
