Restore pro version after upgrade to 3.0.0
(This post is for PRO users who lost their premium versions after upgrading to version 3.0.0 from an older version of the “Advanced DB Cleaner” plugin. New customers who directly installed version 3.0.0 or higher are not affected by this issue.)
If you upgraded from a version lower than 3.0.0 to 3.0.0, you may have noticed that WordPress deactivated the plugin due to the error: ‘Plugin file does not exist’. This happened because we renamed the pro plugin folder from “advanced-db-cleaner” to “advanced-database-cleaner-pro”, causing WordPress to deactivate the plugin as it couldn’t locate the old folder. Simply reactivate the plugin, and it will function normally.
You might also lose the pro version after this upgrade due to a conflict between the free and pro versions, which has now been resolved. If this happens, follow these steps to restore your pro version with all new features:
- Log in to your account and download the premium version of the plugin. (If you didn’t create an account at checkout, please read this post to learn how to access your account and downloads.)
- Install the pro version as you would any other plugin. (If you need a step-by-step installation guide, please read this post.)
Once the PRO version 3.0.0 is installed, you will have access to all PRO features without any issues for future updates.
